The Lampstand University Constitution establishes the foundational principles, governance structure, and operational framework for the institution.
We, the founders and members of Lampstand University, recognizing the need for a Christ-centered institution of higher learning committed to academic excellence, moral integrity, and spiritual development, do hereby establish this Constitution to guide our operations and governance.
The institution shall be known as Lampstand University (LCCU), established as a private Christian university in Nigeria.
The governance structure of LU shall comprise the Board of Trustees, University Council, Senate, and Management Committee, each with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
Academic policies shall ensure merit-based admissions, alignment with NUC standards, integration of biblical values, and promotion of research excellence.
All members of the university community shall uphold Christian ethics, maintain integrity, and adhere to established disciplinary procedures.
This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the Board of Trustees, following consultation with the University Council and Senate.
